If I'm going to start blogging again [Oct1009]
[ mood | blah ]
[ music | Sondre Lerche - Goodnight | Powered by Last.fm ]

I really should stop writing such long self-indulgent entries.

Now that I think about it , maybe I'm just saying this because I haven't had much to say lately that doesn't sound like something I've blabbered on about 245245 times before.  Let's save the interweb a couple of kbs and just not type altogether.

CNN Blabber [Jul0709]
I love living at my dorm (well, ISH, except for the vermin wtf) but I hate that I don't have cable. Scratch that, I hate that I can't AFFORD cable. I don't have a TV either, but that's more because I hardly see the point of having a TV, which I know I will compulsively leave on for the duration of the time that I stay inside my dorm room, but only being able to access GMA and QTV. I can't get ABS-CBN in my dorm, for some reason, and that, not counting ETC and Studio 23, is the only station I can actually sit through--but only for the NEWS, I should say, which appeals to me more for voyeuristic reasons than anything. Which, to be fair, sounds a lot like Facebook's appeal. Anyway, nor do I have a fast enough internet connection that can stream CNN. And even though I can do that, I still like watching on TV better, because you can just passively take it in. You can do that here too, but I guess it's psychological.

I miss ACoop and Larry King and the IDesk. Heck, I even miss Richard Quest's voice (even though I'm not really into his shit, I'm just usually awake when his show goes on), and waiting for Mari Ramos to mention yet another typhoon coming the Philippines' way. I have this weird fascination at how apparently rare it is for people who don't live in the Philippines (or other tropical countries) to hear about ITCZ, which we all hear almost nightly in the local weather forecasts. At CNN it only came up when that Air France jet crashed into the ocean; I was completely surprised when they had to explain what it was and how it could have possibly affected the weather en route Rio to Paris.

I miss waiting for whoever's on TalkAsia, because sometimes they do have people I actually know--like that time they interviewed Edison Chen (lol how teener of me)--and all other times, people that I could have some potential interest in, so I guess I learn a pretty damn lot. And I like watching Mylene Klaas too, not just because she's Filipino (HELLO INGGIT), but because she's a classical musician AND reports for CNN. HELLO, INGGIT!

How completely LAME* is it that THESE ARE MY SUMMER MEMORIES? My summer consisted of watching CNN until that Sports guy came on and I fell asleep to the drone of news of people hitting balls, or shooting balls, or Cristiano Ronaldo being paid an exorbitant amount to go with...was it Portugal? Well, anyway, that or staying up until ACoop is on at 9am if something else interesting was on and I managed to stay through the night and till morning.

*Well, you know, relatively...though the dork/voyeur in me is pretty satisfied, to be quite honest.

Also this is probably me scratching my writing itch...I haven't really been spewing as much verbal vomit lately so yeah. Better talk about this than other shit, I guess.
ACoop is sad I don't watch him as much anymore.

Proof that a positive attitude is all you need! [Mar0309]
1. Woke up 30 minutes before my alarm, charged my phone then went back to bed and studied.  Realized just before I was leaving na hindi pala nakasaksak yung charger.

2. Started hyperventilating sa de la Costa benches about 1hr before orals.
Hyperventilation halted by realization (about 15 minutes before Philo orals):
ASAN EXAM PERMIT KO?  *call Nanie*

3. Arranged to meet Nanie by the blue bridge to get my exam permit.  She could't find it.  Run back to dep for Philo orals.

4. Francis: Aral ka lang 12 to 14, here sayo na lang reviewer ko.
Kim: YAY THX U SAVED MY LIFE IOU
Manny Dy: Please read Thesis #11.

5. 11:15 Philo orals end
11:20 Rush to Xavier to replace exam permit
11:29 RUN
11:31 Arrive at Escaler for Theo finals
11:32 George: Hindi naman kailangan ng permit eh *facepalm*

6. Studying for Finance LT4
*stares blankly at powerpoint reviewer for 5 hours*

7. Escaler again for LT4
600-630 imbento ng mga sagot
630-700 sleep
7-820 titigan/desperadong tawanan with kung kani-kanino
820 pasa ng papel na walang sagot
*DOUBLE FACEPALM*

Pero OKAY LANG!  OKAY LANG!  OKAY LANG!!!!

Anyway, let me salvage what is left of my SOM existence. Labor law, save my soul!

Transparency and accountability [Mar0309]
1. Kadiri na kinikilig ako pero GANUN EH.  Blech, I want to wash this taste out of my mouth.  I DO NOT WANT IT.
Pero probably in like a weeks' time I'd be voluntarily daydreaming.  *facepalm*

This is such a random crush it's not even funny or cute.  Well, he's funny, but not cute.  EW wtf I'm starting to like people who are actually good for me...I must be getting old.

2. In other news, I'm not blogging about finals week because it will either send me in a blind rage or cause a full-blown panic attack.  Quite possibly both.  So I will focus on shit that will get me through to senior year and worry about these shenanigans after my last exam.
